Charles K. Gibson Sr., 90, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Majestic Care in Bedford.

Born November 1, 1935, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, he was the son of Thomas and Luella (Morris) Steinberger.

Charles graduated from Jeffersonville High School.

He worked at NWSC Crane for 35 years, retiring in 1992.

Charles married Edra “Beulah” Terrell in June of 1962; and she preceded him in death in 2010.

He loved music and was an avid musician.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Charles K. Gibson Jr., Debbie Schofield, and Sean (Juanita) Gibson; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Froedge and Linda (Fred) Carrender; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edra ”Beulah”; and 8 brothers and sisters.

Cremation was chosen and no services will be held to honor Charles’ wishes.
